What You Do Speaks So Loud That I Cannot Hear What You Say

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Saying it doesn't make it so.

There has been a flurry – no let’s make that a blizzard – of commentary concerning NOTA. Read Kristofer’s post “Voting NOTA In District 17’s Congressional Race From the Founding Fathers Perspective”. What these men said, some having put their very lives on the line reminds us of our duty when casting a vote.

I volunteered for the Rob Curnock campaign. I believed Rob was the right person in the race to defeat Chet this fall, not that he was the only candidate that could beat Chet (a conservative monkey should be able to do that) or that I wanted to go to Washington or that I wanted some sort of power/position – all motives I have been accused of having. I still believe of the five candidates, Rob was the most honorable, a man of conviction, a conservative and the best choice. There were two other candidates in that race I would have gotten behind had one of them become our candidate to defeat Chet: Timothy Delasandro and David McIntyre.

Both of these men demonstrated to me that they are also men of honor, conviction and conservative values. Bill Flores and (more…)

Football Texas (District 17) Style

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

There’s the Nuclear Football. The Political Football.

And then there’s natural born killer of many an unsuspecting soul: Texas Football.

The missed opportunities and fumbles from Bill Flores are becoming blatant. And when a team of rookies like that is up against a seasoned veteran squad like Chet Edwards’, you have to wonder if Flores will ever get the ball – or even recognize what game is being played on the field.

Right now, I’m not sure Flores even knows where the field is.

Let’s consider last week’s hot topic: The breakup of (more…)

Texas 17 Is Going To Hell – I’m Going To Washington

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Constitutional and Conservative Bill Randall is in the runoff on June 22 in North Carolina 13. He’s against a Country Club Republican who is attempting to hide his anti-Tea Party and Pro-Choice leanings.

Constitutional and Conservative Jaynee Germond is running in Oregon 4 against a late-comer rich guy picked by the NRCC, after running for a year against another relatively regular guy in the race. The rich dude just got in and dropped a quarter million into the race. Sound familiar? The primary is tomorrow.

Constitutional and Conservative Jake Towne is in Pennsylvania. Jake is an Independent Constitutional Candidate who wants to represent District 15 – the Lehigh Valley – where my own now-liberal Dad went to school.

Constitutional and Conservative John Dennis is in California 8, the seat Nancy Pelosi holds.

Constitutional and Conservative Donald Strong is in Tennessee; Alex Snitker is in Florida; RJ Harris is in Oklahoma, as is Howard Houchen. And Tony Gentile is in Louisiana.

And these are just a few. US House and Senate Candidates.

I have been spinning my wheels on Constitution-Sovereignty-denying and recent convert to Republican Party Pro-Choicer Bill Flores and I accept now that it’s a futile effort were I to continue writing alone. All it does is take me away from the obligations I have to these people above and their genuinely Constitution-based ideologies. So I won’t be writing alone… (more…)

The Texas 17 Conservative Bandwagon Dumped A Load On Bill Flores

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Chances are, if you were a “conservative” leader or blogger during the Texas 17 District GOP Primary, you are now a Republican Party myrmidon.

We know that Angie Cox of the Burleson Tea Party is, simply by her comment on this very blog when I made the VERY wrong assumption that she would be a Rob Curnock supporter just before the runoff.

All of the Waco Tea Partiers know that Toby Marie Walker was wooed by the RNC last fall, so we can pretty much count her in.

Richard Clark, owner of nobillfloresforcongress.com, seems to have gone to the dark side. But I think he’s been more of an ABC kind of guy than Conservative in this race (I’m not calling into question his Conservatism…I only think that it is trumped by the ABC movement). (more…)

Tea Party Leader Endorses Rob Curnock for District 17 Congressional Seat

Nancy Coppock

Write-ins will recall that back in February I met with Bill Flores’ Rookie Campaign Manager Matt Mackowiak under dubious circumstances. During that conversation, I advised him to get Bill acquainted with a local businesswoman, which he said he would – and didn’t do. I also advised him to get to know the Tea Party leaders: Angie Cox of Burleson, Toby Walker of Waco, and Nancy Coppock, leader of Bryan College Station Tea Party. He said they had, and that they were in good and on great terms, especially with the local one – meaning here in Brazos County.

I’d had lunch with Nancy Coppock the previous day (more…)

Flores Receives Kiss Of Death Endorsement

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Write-Ins will remember that I mentioned that receiving the endorsement of the Bryan-College Station Eagle is the kiss of death because The Eagle is not conservative in any sense of the word. With its avid support of Planned Parenthood and its fawning over Chet Edwards, you can count on it not being reliable in terms of representing the community it portends to serve.

You’ll also remember that Chuck Wilson received the endorsement of The Eagle, which I commented upon extensively, in his bid for the Texas District 17 race for Congress.

Chuck Wilson did not make the cut for the runoff, losing (more…)

I Recommend You Refrain From Voting For Flores Or Wilson #TX17

Monday, March 1st, 2010

In the House of Representatives Texas District 17 race you probably have an idea of who I won’t vote for, but I want to make sure.

So here’s who and why I will NOT vote for them. (more…)

Last Candidate Forum for #TX17

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

The #TX17 CandidatesSo I went to the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce Candidates Forum tonight at the College Station Hilton. This was the last one for the Congressional seat primary, which is next Tuesday, March 2nd. The audio for the forum will be linked below as soon as WTAW has it archived.

A couple of photos for this event are on my tweetphoto site.

I left immediately afterwards. Candidates and/or staff all know me, and to stick around for a potential to visit (more…)

One Minute With Steve Archer

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Okay…so I’ve told you of my challenges of folks thinking I am still affiliated with the Delasandro campaign. I address that here.

I got a call from a Steve Archer in Washington (as he put it) on my voicemail on Saturday, concerning “Tim’s campaign.”

Well, I had just posted what my position in supporting Timothy was, and I thought maybe he was somebody from the press (more…)
