Heralds
American Heralds are guest columnists who are frequent contributors to American Writes. They espouse and live their daily lives in a principled manner. Whether they follow or profess the Ten Conservative Principles or not, they have something important to contribute that our readers enjoy and their participation is intended to help encourage a discussion that leads to a better America. While Heralds can disagree with each other and The American Writer, they do so in a learned, well thought out discussion and do not resort to ignoring the policies of American Writes to do so. Heralds typically are invited to post after they have participated in commenting throughout American Writes’ blog. If you would like to be considered as an American Herald, you can contact The American Writer through his Facebook page.
Scott Kimble
Scott Kimble was born in Bedford, Indiana, the second of four children. He served in the United States Air Force and in 1986 moved to Texas. Scott was married in 1988 and born again two months later. He has two children and seven grandchildren. Scott and his wife Kim live in Joshua, Texas with their dogs Luci and Molly, and Scott most recently served as Co-Campaign Manager in a volunteer capacity for the Rob Curnock for Congress Campaign.
Scott became involved in local Indiana politics while working for a Public Housing Authority. It seemed very strange to him that persons receiving benefits from the government were making more just on the programs (housing assistance, utility assistance, food stamps, job training programs, Social Security benefits, unemployment — all tax free) than he did working. Upon moving to Texas he, became involved in the Ronald Reagan re-election and has been Conservative ever since.
The American Writer met Scott through the Texas District 17 Congressional Race in 2009 – 2010 and after some very involved and intense conversations, as well as a mutual understanding and affection for such things as John Wayne and the War Of The Worlds Richard Burton performance, Kristofer invited Scott to be a guest columnist on The American Writes blog in May 2010.
Staff
American Writes is exhaustive in its research, which requires more than just the writers.
When you see an article indicating From American Writes Staff Reporting, that indicates staff and/or researchers taking the lead on a story, primarily a developing one. Staff may include one or more of the regular contributors to this blog (The American Writer and American Heralds) as well as other researchers. Bylines are not included in a story unless and until it is completely written, and then whomever was the lead writer receives the byline. If a researcher or source wishes to be identified for this blog, we will list their names and biographies here.
