Keeping Score: Matt Mackowiak’s Latest Misstep Gives Chet Edwards Lead Over Bill Flores 10–3

Remember the fib Matt Mackowiak told Bill Flores to say if he was ever asked who he voted for in the 2008 election?

Chet Edwards does and scores a field goal to increase his lead.

Edwards unleashed his first commercial today, sending an unlisted link to Congressional Quarterly for the video he has posted on his YouTube Channel. Congressional Quarterly posted the video and wrote up the story here.

District 17 And The Battle At Midway

Not to be confused with the watershed event in the Pacific Theater during World War II, or the small hamlet in East Texas – though that Midway (75852) has more in common with the topic du jour.

But only because it happens to reside in the 17th Congressional District of Texas.

But even that is insignificant, and the likelihood that either candidate has even visited Midway, except to drive through or fly over it, is pretty remote.

But you can be guaranteed there are Chet Edwards supporters there, and Bill Flores supporters there. I know, because one of each has contacted me. (more…)

Home School Legal Defense Association Endorses Bill Flores

Now how come we didn’t hear about this? This is great news for Bill Flores!

And I know a thing or two about homeschooling – we’ve been homeschooling for ten and a half years. (I know, that scares some lurkers)

Now, I have issues with a lot of homeschooling organizations, attitudes and culture, and the HSLDA is not immune to my criticisms, but then again, I want a perfect world.

In the long run, the HSLDA is a good group o’ folks.

Football Texas (District 17) Style

There’s the Nuclear Football. The Political Football.

And then there’s natural born killer of many an unsuspecting soul: Texas Football.

The missed opportunities and fumbles from Bill Flores are becoming blatant. And when a team of rookies like that is up against a seasoned veteran squad like Chet Edwards’, you have to wonder if Flores will ever get the ball – or even recognize what game is being played on the field.

Right now, I’m not sure Flores even knows where the field is.
